New York Times Food Shoot!!!!!

So I am always thrilled to see the phone number 111-111-1111 come up on my phone b/c I know it is NYT! This was my third time shooting for the paper and it is always a great priveledge and honor to be called by them. This time it was for a spread featuring tex-mex food in San Antonio at El Mirador. The place is fabulous Dona Maria started the restaurant and had most of her recipes just had written in a notebook. She had just celebrated her 97th birthday a week and a half before the shoot. She was an amazing woman to photograph! Well here are some of the shots from that day and if you are ever in San Antonio, Texas I highly recommend stopping in the food was delicious!

Featured this month in Austin Monthly. They opened up a brand new wine bar! I have always wanted to go there and I just loved the food! I can't wait to go back with my girlfriends! I strongly encourage you to go!!!!!!!

Mars for Austin Monthly!

One of my other side projects is that I do some commercial work, it has been awhile since I have posted about it, I just can't ever post until it is published and then I always forget! So I am going to try harder to show you guys more of my commercial work. I LOVE to shoot for Austin Monthly and most of time it is food photography. This time I got to shoot at one of my favorite places Mars! The Executive Chef Reggie Ferguson was so awesome to work with as well! They made some delicious dishes and we got to sample them all! I met the delightful Tracy Claros when shooting one of her desserts that made it to the Top 10 desserts of Austin! The Cupcake Queen!!!!!

So, I had a wonderfully sweet shoot today! With the most awesome cupcaker baker, Kelly Alagna! We had a great afternoon of shooting some of her most delicious cupcakes. (Have I ever said how much I love my job?????) Thanks Kelly for the great company this afternoon and the wonderful cupcakes, they are delicious!.
